To obtain a sheet-like material capable of efficiently adsorbing and removing ammonia by subjecting a nonwoven fabric to a graft processing of a polymer containing a carboxylic acid by a light-grafting method, and further to provide a fiber product by using the same.
A treating liquid containing acrylic acid, acrylamidomethylpropanesulfonic acid and a photosensitizer, e.g. benzophenone is impregnated in an olefinic filament nonwoven fabric of a polypropylene or the like, produced by a melt-blow process, a spunbond process or the like, and the resultant nonwoven fabric is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to carry out the light-grafting processing. Both or one surface of the resultant nonwoven fabric is laminated with a cotton fabric to provide the objective sheet-like material for absorbing ammonia. A dust-free garment for a clean room is formed by sewing the sheet-like material so that the sheet-like material may cover at least a part or the whole of a human body.
