Abstract:

To provide a sheet loading device and an image forming apparatus, capable of improving visibility of a sheet loaded on a sheet loading part earlier.

When discharging a sheet P2 of the next job to a conveyor belt 203 after a sheet gripper 220 holds a sheet P1 discharged to the conveyor belt 203, if a discharge direction length b of the sheet P2 of the next job is longer than the sum of a discharge direction length a of the sheet P1 loaded on the conveyor belt 203 earlier and a predetermined interval c of the sheet gripper 220, the conveyor belt 203 is moved so that a sheet discharging direction downstream edge of the sheet P1 loaded on the conveyor belt 203 earlier is at a downstream position from a sheet discharging direction downstream edge of the sheet P2 of the job to be discharged next.
