Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material binding process device which enables a user to decide a standby position of a stapler.SOLUTION: A sheet material binding process device 50 includes a movable stapler for binding a paper bundle in which a plurality of sheets of paper are bundled, a movable stapler movement motor 164 for moving the movable stapler between a first standby position which does not obstruct transportation of paper from an image formation device 1 connected to allow supply of paper and a second standby position for binding a sheet material bundle by a manual stapling function without obstructing transportation of the sheet material, and a CPU162. The CPU162, under instruction from a user, makes the movable stapler wait at the first standby position or the second standby position when the image formation device 1 is not performing image formation process.
