Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material bundle binding treatment device that prevents a sheet material bundle from decreasing in uniting force in a binding treatment using no binding member.SOLUTION: A post-treatment device 500 includes a stapler 527 prepared to perform a binding treatment by deforming and pressing a sheet material bundle having a plurality of sheet materials with formed images bound without using any binding member. According to the toner density of an image formed at a binding position on a sheet material, the number of times of execution of a binding treatment by the stapler 527 is determined. The thicker the toner density is, the number of times of execution is larger. The stapler 527 can be moved by a binding movement motor 505 in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the sheet material. When the binding processing is executed a plurality of times, the stapler 527 performs the binding treatment at a different position on the sheet material.
