To provide an aramid resin-coated sheet-shaped material having high heat resistance and strength, also having excellent uniformity, and hardly causing dropout of a base material fiber by friction.

The sheet-shaped material having an aramid resin-coated layer at least on one surface of a heat-resistant fiber sheet containing a meta-phenylene isophthalamide fiber satisfies the following requirements: (a) the content of the meta-phenylene isophthalamide fiber is 10-99% based on the whole weight of the heat-resistant fiber sheet; (b) the Gurley permeability is 1-1,000 s/100 cc; and (c) the aramid resin-coated layer is formed by coating an aramid resin solution obtained by dissolving the aramid resin in an amide-based solvent on the heat-resistant fiber sheet.
