To provide a sheet material sorting device for an image processing device capable of storing a sufficient number of sheet materials and preventing the stored sheet material from slipping down from a receiving tray unexpectedly.
In this sheet material sorting device for the image processing device having a plurality of receiving trays and carrying the sheet materials carried out from a carrying-out passage of the image processing device onto each receiving tray sequentially to sort the sheet materials, each receiving tray can move in the vertical direction on the same track through an elevating mechanism and is supported on the elevating mechanism so as to swing, all the receiving trays can be held in the lowermost part of the track in a vertically overlapped condition, and the sheet material is carried onto the receiving tray at the uppermost position among the overlapped receiving trays. A receiving tray attitude regulation mechanism is provided to keep the receiving tray in parallel with a carrying-out face of the carrying-out passage and lift a carrying-in side of the sheet material on the receiving tray obliquely in accordance with upward travel from the overlapped position at the overlapped position.
