To provide a sheet media folding device eliminating the need for the time to make adjustments each time position is changed, as well as the need for making a paper path long enough to match the desired longest sheet media used in the folding device.

The sheet media folding device 2 includes: (a) an input conveyor 4 for moving the media to the device; (b) a first pair of positioning rollers 6 for capturing and positioning the media while the media is being moved to the device 2, to retain the media; (c) a first folding mechanism 8 installed between the input conveyor 4 and the first pair of positioning rollers 6 for capturing a fastener to which the media is attached, to draw the media out of the input conveyor 4 and the first pair of positioning rollers 6; and (d) a first media path 10 adapted to guide the media between the input conveyor 4, the first pair of positioning rollers 6, and the first folding mechanism 8.
