To obtain a sheet for medical container labels which is not peeled off or broken when stuck to a blood bag, etc., and subjected to high-pressure steam sterilization by coating a paper with a heat-sensitive adhesive mainly comprising an acrylic copolymer resin and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin.
This sheet is produced by coating one side of a paper substrate with a heat-sensitive adhesive mainly comprising an acrylic copolymer resin and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin. The substrate is pref. a paper impregnated with a water-resistance resin and having one side printable or writable. The acrylic copolymer is pref. a copolymer which is obtd. from methyl methacrylate as the main monomer and butyl methacrylate, etc., as comonomers and which forms a flexible film excellent in adhesion to a flexible vinyl chloride resin. The adhesive is prepd. by blending the acrylic copolymer resin with the vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin at a molar ratio of (90:10)-(50:50) and pref. adding 5-15wt.% plasticizer to the blend.
