To realize a molding without changing molding conditions such as a mold temperature, a charging pattern, the clamping of molds or the like by a method wherein a mixture of a mass % lying within a specified range of a matter having a specified average particle diameter and a mass % lying within a specified range of the matter having a specified average particle diameter is employed as a filler.
By employing two fillers different in particle size and made of calcium carbonate used for manufacturing a sheet molding compound (henceforth expressed as SMC), problems contrary to each other can be dissolved at once. One filler A has an average particle diameter of 1-10 μm, while the other filler B has an average particle diameter of 15-50 μm. The mixing ratio in mass of A:B is 70:30-95:5. As the filler, from the view point of price and water resistance, a calcium carbonate is favorably used. As its loading, 90-200 pts.wt. of the filler is added to 100 pts.wt. of a polyester resin. If the loading of the filler is less than 90 pts.wt., no proper flow of glass fiber in the SMC results.
