Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet paper processing device which changes a holding position of sheet paper while maintaining the sheet paper with a stable attitude without injuring a small mouth part when vertically conveying the sheet paper in the vertical state.SOLUTION: A sheet paper processing device includes a clamp part 340 which holds and retains a saddle-stitched booklet, a small mouth retention part 370 which holds and retains the saddle-stitched booklet while applying corrugation to the saddle-stitched booklet and a sheet paper processing control part 505 which controls movement of the clamp part 340 and the small mouth retention part 370. Therein, the sheet paper processing control part 505 causes the small mouth retention part 370 to retain sheet paper while causing the clamp part 340 to retain a first position of the saddle-stitched booklet, thereafter, causes the clamp part 340 to release retention of the first position while retaining the saddle-stitched booklet to the small mouth retention part 370, and moves the clamp part 340 within the saddle-stitched booklet to retain a second position.
