Title:
SHEET POST-PROCESSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3673694
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sheets from being inflated even if a quantity of sheets stacked in the processing tray of a sheet post-processing device is great in number.
SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a first pressing plate 27 to press down the end part of a sheet S and a second pressing plate 28 to press down the vicinity of the center part of the sheet S. The tip part 27b of the first pressing part 27 is brought into contact with the sheet loading part 15 of the processing tray 14 at an initial position before the sheet S is carried, and an interval (h) is kept between the tip part 28b of the second pressing part 28 and the loading part 15 at the initial position. Therefore, when there is not many sheets on the loading part 15, since the second pressing plate 28 is not brought into contact with the sheet S and only the first pressing part 27 is brought into contact with the sheet S, the damage of the sheet can be reduced. When the bundle of the sheets gets thick to a certain extent, in other words, when the thickness of the bundle of the sheets gets not less than the interval (h), the second pressing plate is brought into contact with the sheet S and presses down the sheets. Thereby, the sheets can be firmly pressed down.
