Title:
SHEET POST-PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004160598
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem of inhibiting the whole post-processor from being reduced in size because chips are like strips of length corresponding to that of the end face so that they are bulky to require a large trash box in cutting a sheaf of sheets and arranging the cut end faces of the sides opposite to the binding part in order with a cutter for neatly cutting and arranging the end faces of the edges of the sheet sheaf in a magazine-shaped one such as a weekly magazine formed by aligning the sheaf of sheets, binding together the same at the center thereof, and bending the same in a sheet post-processor.

The post-processor is reduced in size to prevent chips in the trash box from being bulky by further cutting the strip-like chips of the generated sheet sheaf end faces in the direction different from that in cutting the sheets.
