Abstract:
To improve the quality of a sheet after additional-folding processing by suppressing a mark due to a fold from being left on a sheet portion when the sheet portion exists between a roller for additional-folding and the fold.SOLUTION: A sheet pressing device includes: a carry-in port 119 which receives a sheet previously formed into the Z-shape with two folds; an additional-folding roller 114 which is arranged on the downstream side of the carry-in port to press the fold; a lower side folding guide 111 which is arranged so as to face the additional-folding roller; a first movement mechanism which moves the additional-folding roller between the pressing position for pressing the fold by bringing the additional-folding roller close to the lower side folding guide and the retreat position where the additional-folding roller is moved from the pressing position with respect to the lower side folding guide in a direction apart from the sheet; a second movement mechanism which moves the additional-folding roller along the fold; sheet basis weight recognition means; and a control unit. The control unit adjusts the frequency of moving the additional-folding roller along the fold on the basis of the basis weight of the sheet acquired by the sheet basis weight recognition means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
