Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the timing when constant press force is applied to a sheet bundle in a binding process without reference to the number of sheets nor a type of paper of the sheet bundle.SOLUTION: A sheet process device includes: a staple-less binding device 52 which performs a binding process by pressing a sheet bundle S; a staple-less binding motor 75 which drives the staple-less binding device 52 so as to press the sheet bundle S; an encoder sensor 90 which detects the speed of the staple-less binding motor 75; and a CPU 162 which brakes the staple-less binding motor 75 when the speed detected by the encoder sensor 90 decreases below a predetermined speed in a period in which the staple-less binding device 52 presses the sheet bundle S.
