Pn; a paper discharge roller 205; a sheet transport passage 240 and a branched transport passage 241 laminating the transported sheets; and binding tool 210 for applying a pressing force from a thickness direction so that an upper first tooth shape part 261a and a lower second tooth shape part 261b engage each other with respect to the laminated sheet bundle PB for binding. Before binding the sheets by the binding tool 210, the sheets P1, ... Pn or the sheet bundle PB are cooled for making the sheets absorb moisture by a cooling fan 250.
