When the difference between the lateral registration detection distance X2 and the lateral registration detction distance X1 is not larger than the sensor spacing A, the finisher controller determines as a far side-advanced skew to calculate the skew feeding rate α and the correction distance f. Furthermore, the finisher controller calculates the lateral registration displacement amount J from the lateral-registration-sensor standby position distance C, the sensor interval A, the lateral registration detection distance X2, the skew feeding rate α, and the correction distance f.
