PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing apparatus capable of preventing a risk of occurrence of a sheet feed failure when a sheet is inserted into an image forming apparatus due to holes or damages generated in the sheet at a time of removing a binding member from a sheet bundle if the sheet is reused after removing the binding member from the sheet bundle.SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus includes: an application unit 12; a sheet processing unit; and conveyance rollers 411 and 412. The application unit applies a pressure sensitive adhesive generating an adhesive force by being pressed onto a sheet. The sheet processing unit, arranged downstream of the application unit in a conveyance direction, performs a post-processing on the sheet on which the application unit applies the pressure sensitive adhesive. The conveyance rollers 411 and 412, arranged downstream of the application unit in the conveyance direction and upstream of the sheet processing unit in the conveyance direction, convey the sheet. The application unit applies the pressure sensitive adhesive onto regions of the sheet excluding regions where the conveyance rollers contact the sheet from predetermined region of the sheet along a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction.
