Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surplus objects occurring at sheet processing from scattering in a device, causing failure of the device.SOLUTION: A scrap overflow determination means 71 (judging means) compares a physical amount of surplus objects in a housing part which is detected with a staple scrap fullness detection sensor 64 (detecting means) with the number of surplus objects that should have been housed in the housing part which is calculate based on processing frequency counted by a staple counter 67 (acquiring means), to detect whether surplus objects have overflown into the device or not. If surplus objects have overflown into the device, the device is stopped. Thus, occurrence of failure of the device because of surplus objects scattered in the device is prevented.
