Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize necessary power used for movement along a conveyance direction.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes an end surface binding processing tray F which is arranged obliquely storing sheets loaded as a sheet bundle, rear-end reference fences 51a and 51b which are movable along the rear end part in the conveyance direction of the sheet bundle loaded on the tray F and which adjust the rear end part in the conveyance direction of the sheets by contacting with the rear end in the conveyance direction of the sheets, a jogger fence which adjusts the side part of the sheets by contacting with the sheets from the direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction, an end surface binding stapler which moves along the rear end part in the conveyance direction of the sheets, binding the adjusted sheet bundle, and a rack 50g and a pinion 50h which move the rear end reference fences 51a and 51b in the sheet conveyance direction according to the depth the sheets are bound by the end surface binding stapler. The rear end reference faces 51a and 51b can be held mechanically in the movement direction by the rack 50g and the pinion 50h.
