PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the tip of the next sheet from being caught by the rear end of the sheet loaded regardless of the sheet while suppressing reduction in productivity.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device comprises: a saddle latching part 331 which accumulates sheets; a conveyance part 320 which conveys the sheets to the saddle latching part 331; a positioning part 334 which positions the tip of the sheets in the saddle latching part 331 by being brought into contact with the tip of the sheets accumulated in the saddle latching part 331; a sheet processing part (stapling part 340 and staple receiving part 350) which performs prescribed sheet processing on the sheets accumulated at the sheet processing position in the saddle latching part 331; and a sheet processing control part which controls the position of the positioning part 334 by moving the positioning part 334. The sheet processing control part changes the position of the positioning part 334 from the position where the sheets are accumulated at the sheet processing position to the position on the upstream side in the sheet conveyance direction when the sheet condition of the sheets satisfies a prescribed condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
