Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an application area of an adhesive in accordance with the number of sheets to be stuck when a user desires a booklet with strong adhesion strength, and improve the production volume of the booklets by applying the adhesive with the substantially same amount with respect to the booklet that does not require the strong adhesion strength.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device comprises: an adhesion unit which sticks sheets by applying an adhesive AT to each sheet sequentially accumulated in a stacker part; a movement member which moves the sheets at the application position of the adhesion unit; a folding blade which pushes the adhesion position where the adhesive AT is applied by the adhesion unit to a folding roller folding the sheet applied with the adhesive AT; and a control member which can set any of an adhesion area variable mode for making areas applied with the adhesive AT different from each other in accordance with increase in the number of sheets to be stuck together by the adhesion unit and an adhesion area fixed mode for making the adhesion areas substantially fixed even if the number of sheets to be stuck together increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
