Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform a security measure by outputting a signal warning that there are no protrusion portions before performing binding processing even though there should be a short sheet and long sheets having the protrusion portions holding the short sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device comprises: an end surface binding stapler unit which binds the sheets mixed with the sheet held between the sheets having protrusion portions (TTLS or TTS_TAB); an end surface crimp binding unit which binds the protrusion portions of the sheets bound by the unit; a sensor which detects the presence/absence of the protrusion portion of the sheet received in a processing tray; and a sheet processing control unit which issues a signal of warning in a case where it is detected that there is no sheet having the protrusion portion in the sheets received in the processing tray by the sensor when a security binding mode for binding the protrusion portions of the sheets is set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25
