Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device and a sheet processing method, capable of surely drilling a plurality of punch holes on a sheet with high quality at always.SOLUTION: An image formation system includes, in a sheet post-processing device, a drilling device which includes a plurality of punch members 40 that reciprocate in axial direction through a rack member 43 that reciprocates linearly by a drive motor 42, for drilling a sheet that is delivered into a drilling process position from an image formation device. A control part detects position and moving direction of the rack member with an output of a position sensor that detects a flag provided at the rack member, and detects rotation of the drive motor by an encoder 69. After all the punch members 40 come into a home position from a work position, a sheet having been drilled is transported from the drilling process position when the drive motor is rotated by a specified number of pulses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
