Abstract:
To provide a sheet processing device and method for significantly improving user-friendliness.
The sheet processing device performs predetermined processing of sheets simultaneously driven to be fed while being separated one by one and detects whether a sheet feeding failure occurs or not, in accordance with intervals for the adjacent sheets, while detecting whether sheet processing setting is changed or not, and changing a predetermined first criterion threshold value as a criterion for detecting whether the sheet feeding failure occurs or not into a second criterion threshold value greater than the first criterion threshold value when the sheet processing setting is changed.
