PURPOSE: To prevent a following envelope from coming out when the preceding envelope is pulled out of a cash dispenser or the like, by detecting the envelope coming out to a takeout opening, to put the push plate of a hopper section aside to reduce the pressure of a send-out roller on the envelope.
CONSTITUTION: When an envelope is sent out by a roller 3 as a shutter 1 is opened, the tip of a lever 24 is pushed up to operate a microswitch 26 by the other end of the lever so that the envelope is moved outward to a prescribed position and the roller 3 is stopped. Subsequently, a lever 20 is turned clockwise by energizing a plunger magnet 23, to rotate a ratchet 16 by a pawl 19. Consequently, a coaxial pulley 16 is also rotated to move a belt 17 so that a push plate 8 coupled to the belt 17 at a coupling part 8a is displaced down. At that time, the push plate 8 is displaced by an identical quantity whatever position it is in, and the contact pressure between the roller 3 and the envelope decreases so that the roller is not rotated even if the envelope moved out to a takeout opening 9 is rapidly pulled out. For that reason, the following envelope is prevented from being sent out.
