Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent any tip curling and damage to be produced by rolling in a sheet tip as well as any overload to a driving system due to high load against a check roller in time of sheet entrance into a roller pair.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of rollers 3 and 4 with large diametral parts 3a, 4a and small diametral parts 3b, 4b respectively are set up so as to make the large diametral parts 3a and the small diametral part 4b as well as the small diametral part 3b and the large diametral part 4a be opposed to each other, while the feed roller 3 being large in frictional force to a sheet is rotated in the forward direction and the check roller 4 being small in frictional force to the sheet in the reverse direction, respectively and thereby these rollers are made to serve as a sheet separator separating sheets piece by piece. At a point of time when a sheet tip enters a gap between the feed roller 3 and the check roller 4, a rotation of the check roller 4 comes to a stop.
