Abstract:
To provide a configuration capable of improving a stacking performance at the time of sheet discharge.SOLUTION: In a sheet stacking device 300, discharge rollers 515 and 593 discharge a sheet out of the device. The sheets discharged by the discharge rollers 515 and 593 are stacked on an upper tray 595 and a lower tray 596. Detection sensors 540 and 541 detect that at least a part of a plurality of sheets stacked on the upper tray 595 and the lower tray 596 are removed. When it is detected that at least a part of sheets are removed by the detection sensors 540 and 541, the sheet stacking device delays the timing at which a sheet is ejected by the discharge rollers 515 and 593, in comparison with a case when a sheet is not detected by the detection sensors 540 and 541.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
