Abstract:
To provide a sheet storage device which improves extractability and visibility and an image forming apparatus.
Holding members 305a to 305f arranged between a storage guide 304 and a conveying guide 303 hold a sheet with the storage guide 304 while in contact with inclined portions of the storage guide 304 and the conveying guide 303. A holding force to hold a sheet is changed by moving specified holding members, for example, auxiliary holding members 305b, 305d and 305f, out of the holding members 305a to 305f to an evacuation position not coming into contact with a conveyed sheet and a holding position holding a sheet.
