PURPOSE: To provide a take-up device for preventing efficiently completely sheets from disordered take-up by providing a tension roller for extending the fed sheet with its own weight.

CONSTITUTION: In a paper take-up device 1 a recording blank 2 is fed out of a feed roller 3 and taken up by a take-up roller 4 through a tension roller 5, first and second intermediate rollers 6, 7. When the recording blank 2 is deviated left or right between the feed roller 3 and the take-up roller 4, a tension roller 5 vertically moving as it is under the horizontal state will be inclined. Displacement detector 12a, 12b detect normally the height positions of both left and right ends of the tension roller 5 and the detecting signals are sent to a calculation processing unit 15. A brake roller control section 16 lowers the left or right side brake rollers 13a, 13b in response to a predetermined amount control signal from said processing unit 15 to return the tension roller 5 to the horizontal state.
