PURPOSE: To provide the sheet to be thermally transferred, without irregularity in degree of dyeing power, which indicates satisfactory mold releasing action and has a mold releasing layer which contributes significantly to the strength of a coat by providing a mold releasing layer containing a specified amount of specially modified organopolysiloxane on the surface of a sublimating dye accepting layer of the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A mold releasing layer containing 5W90wt.% of modified organopolysiloxane with a polyoxyalkylene group is formed on the surface of a sublimating dye accepting layer, which accepts sublimating dye, of the sheet to be thermally transferred. The sublimating dye is used in a sublimating thermosensitive transfer material containing thermally sublimating dyes. In the above-described way, the sheet to be thermally transferred with high degree of dyeing power and satisfactory color tone due to non-irregularity in the degree of dyeing power of dyes can be obtained. In addition, the sheet has superior mold releasing property with a dye layer and high coat tenacity. The preferable modified organopolysiloxane is polyether modified silicon, aminopolyether modified silicon or epoxypolyether modified silicon. The silicon component does not serve to release the mold sufficiently if its content is not more than 5wt.% and causes insufficient tenacity of the mold releasing layer if the content exceeds 90wt.%.
