Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device which can easily remove a sheet which occur jamming.SOLUTION: A sheet transport device 1A cuts a sheet by a cutter 6 when transport jamming of sheets occurs, and divides the sheet into jammed paper including a part with jamming and residual paper with no jamming. A transportation passage for the residual paper is changed into either a first transportation path 20a or a second transportation path 20b which is different from a transportation passage on which jamming occurs by a passage changeover gate 5, and on the basis of a position of a sheet detected by a first paper detection sensor 7a and a second paper detection sensor 7b, the residual paper is cut into predetermined lengths, and is stored into either a first storage part 40a or a second storage part 40b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
