Abstract:
Apparatus for receiving a stack of paper documents and separating, counting and restacking the paper documents. The paper documents are fed on a one-at-a-time basis by means of cooperating counter rotating drive and stripper wheels. The stripper wheel assembly is designed to provide a self-adjustable force exerted upon the documents fed thereto with the drive means for operating the stripper wheel being capable of providing rotational drive to the stripper wheels which is independent of the "free-floating" stripper wheel mount.
