PURPOSE: To provide a shelf having a slide table by which the slide table can be advanced/retreated automatically, safely, easily and smoothly.

CONSTITUTION: A slide table 20 is provided on a guide rail 10 provided in a shelf frame 1, and a driving roller capable of rolling freely on the guide rail 10 and an electric motor interlocked with the driving roller are provided on the slide table 20, and there is provided a magnetic contactless switch so as to detect an outer limit position and a return position of the slide table 20, and there are provided an operating section 33 to indicate advance/retreat of the slide table 20 and a control section 50 to start the electric motor slowly or to stop it slowly according to a position detecting signal of the magnetic contactless switch when the electric motor 25 is driven according to an operating signal of the operating section 33. Thereby, the slide table 20 can be advanced/ retreated automatically, safely, easily and smoothly by operating the operating section 33. The collapsing of a cargo sack on the slide table 20 can also be prevented by starting the electric motor slowly or stopping it slowly when the slide table 20 is advanced/retreated.
