Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable shelf to put objects which requires a short period of time to adjust height of a shelf board, maintains enough strength to hold objects without making the shelf larger and heavier, and is not likely to have damages on a shelf support.
SOLUTION: A book shelf 1 is provided with shelf boards 5, 6 and side boards 2, 3 and a back board 4 which have plural rows of shelf supports 40, 50 provided at intervals vertically. Each of the shelf supports 40 on the side boards 2, 3 is open toward the front of the side boards 2, 3 and has a slit 41 extending from the front to the back. The shelf support 50 on the back board 4 has two slits 51 extending horizontally. Protrusions 5a-5d, 6a-6d, which can be put in and out of the slits 41, 51 back and forth, are provided on a side and a back of the shelf board 5, 6. Adjustment of height for the shelf boards 5, 6 can be done in a short period of time as each of the protrusions 5a-5d, 6a-6d is designed to put in and out of the corresponding slits 41, 51. The side boards 2, 3 are made of a bonded bamboo with its fibers lining from the front to the back.
