To provide a shelf unit that can prevent a joint line from getting conspicuous coming to on the side board and can form a satisfactory appearance.
The present invention relates to a shelf unit which has a plurality of vertical side boards 1 arranged in parallel and is formed by mounting shelf boards 2 between the adjacent side boards 1. A half piece of side board 5, which is approximately L-shaped in horizontal cross section, is formed by being composed of a side face part 3 and an edge face part 4 that is expandedly provided at right angles on one side end of the side face part 3. And the side board 1 is formed by overlappedly laminating a couple half pieces of side board 5 in a condition wherein each side face part 3 is joined to a mutual face side the edge face part 4 is projected from, and wherein a back face of the edge face part 4 in the half piece of side board 5 is joined to another side end of the side face part 4 where the edge face part 4 is not provided in the half piece of side board 4. In forming the side board 1 by laminating a couple half pieces of side board, the laminated joint line of the both half pieces of side board 5 can be appeared in a right or left side face of the side board 1 that is not situated in a front face of the shelf unit.
