A shelf 3 is installed to a wall surface 2 in the front of a toilet stool 1 where a hand of a user M seating on the toilet stool 1 installed in a toilet can approximately reach, and a horizontal handrail 4 is protruded from the shelf 3 to the side of the toilet stool 1 and horizontally provided. In other words, the horizontal handrail 4 is formed in a U-shape, horizontally protruded to the side of the toilet stool 1, and fixed to one side of the shelf 3 so that the user M of the toilet stool 1 can stand up and sit as gripping the horizontal handrail 4 with his hand. In addition, it is possible for the user M to stretch out his hand horizontally to grip the horizontal handrail 4 without twisting his wrist. Furthermore, it is possible to place objects appropriately on the shelf 3. By this, it is possible to obtain satisfactory ease of use at the time of standing up from and seating on the toilet stool 1.
