Abstract:

To provide a shell type roller bearing that can improve accuracy of a bearing constituting member and that can be manufactured inexpensively.

A shell type needle-like roller bearing is manufactured as follows. A retainer member (34) that is not subjected to heat treatment and on which a pocket (35) is formed, is arranged on an inside diameter side of an annular shell type outer ring member (31) that is not subjected to heat treatment. Both of outer ring collar sections (32a, 32b) are formed on the shell type outer ring member (31) on the inside diameter side of which the retainer member (34) is arranged. Heat treatment is applied to the shell type outer ring member (31) and the retainer member (34), and a needle-like roller that is subjected to heat treatment is incorporated from the inside diameter side of the pocket (35).
