PURPOSE: To enable a shelter rack for manhole to be simply housed and carried as well as to simplify the structure of the shelter rack and prevent the falling down of it into manhole by a method in which left- and right-handed opening and closing racks are pivotally supported on both sides of the rack body, and upper and lower opening and closing racks are also pivotally supported on the lower edge of the rack body.

CONSTITUTION: Left- and right-handed racks 2 are connected to both sides of the rack body 1 in a freely opening and closing manner, and a nearly U-shaped manhole enclosure M is formed by the rack body 1 and the racks 2 and 3. The lower edge of upper and lower covering racks 4 is pivotally supported on the lower edge of the rack body 1 in a freely rotatable manner. Manhole (H-1, H-2, or H-3) is covered by the downwardly inclining rotational movement of the covering racke 4. The racks 2 and 3 are pivotally supported on both sides of the rack body 1, and the rack 4 is pivotally supported on the lower edge of the rack body 1. The falling down of the shelter racks into manhole can be prevented and also they have a simple structure and can be simply housed and carried.
