To provide a shield device for a portable telephone and a portable telephone with the shield device that can shield radio waves arrived from sur rounding base stations with the shield plate even when the shield plate and the portable telephone are placed at a high altitude place such as a mountain top a high spot as in a building and receive radio waves from many base stations, and can reliably select one base station and communicate therewith.
The shield device 1 that is placed at a high altitude place such as a mountain top or a high spot as in a building and can select a radio wave from a required base station among arrived radio waves of base stations 91-96, consists of a shield section 2 that shield the radio waves and a portable telephone mount section 3 that accommodates portable telephone 7. The shield section 2 consists of a plate such as a metallic plate like an aluminum plate or the like or a plastic plate to which a metallic foil is adhered, coated or vapor-deposited.
