Title:
SHIELD EXCAVATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05231090
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve workability by slidably mounting a cutter disc part to a skin plate provided with a reaction force receiving jack through a seal, and installing a propulsion jack between the skin plate and the cutter disc part.

CONSTITUTION: A cutter disc part 19 equipped with a cutter disc 19 is slidably mounted to a skin plate 18 through a seal 17. A propulsion jack 12 is then provided between a bracket 12a installed on the skin plate 18 and the cutter disc part 19. Further, a tail seal 20 is provided on the rear end inner periphery of the skin plate 18, and a reaction force receiving jack 10 is arranged toward the rear side. The jack 10 is extended to receive a reaction force, and then contracted partly, a new segment 11a is assembled in the gap produced, and the jack 12 is extended in order for the length of one ring to be excavated. Further, while the jack 12 is contracted, the jack 10 is extended to advance the plate 18 by the length of one ring. Thus, excavation and assembling work are simultaneously performed, and attitude of a shield excavator can be easily controlled.
