Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make excavation and segment assembly as parallel work to speed up execution.
CONSTITUTION: A shield machine body consisting of a segment assembling rear drum A, an excavation cutter 1 and a front drum B equipped with an attitude controlling center bent device 2 and a shield excavator having a driving jack 3 equipped with total thrust exceeding required driving force and an excavation jack 7 are used. The driving jack 3 is extended to drive the front drum B forward and, at the sane time, segments 4 and 4' are built up in the rear drum A and, at the same time, roundness, holding devices 5 are assembled inside the segments, the rear drum A is connected to the front drum B by the driving jack 3, and excavation is started again.
