PURPOSE: To improve the stability of a working face and smoothly discharge the cut soil by providing a sewage pressure chamber at the upper section in a shield incorporating an excavator, providing feed/drain pipes of the hot water fed to it, and providing a cut soil crushing/stirring machine near a drain path.

CONSTITUTION: A shield machine 1 is provided with an excavator 10, an erector 3, and a shield jack 4 in a shield 2. The excavator 10 is constituted of a rotary edge 11, a motor 12, and a moving system 13, and it is moved in sequence in the whole area of the working face 8 for excavation. A chamber 20 having a feed pipe 23 capable of pressurizing to prevent the collapse of the working face is provided at the upper section of the shield 2, a crushing/stirring machine 30 for crushing/stirring the cut sediment is provided at the lower section, and a drain pipe 24 for draining is provided. The stability of the working face is secured, and the cut soil can be smoothly discharged.
