Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce exposure to radiation while facilitating installation and collection of catching vessel by constituting remote controllable connection/ disconnection of piping and electric cable.
CONSTITUTION: When a catching vessel is installed in a shield, the radiation catching vessel 1 is suspended by means of a crane or the like and lowered into a shield body 2. The catching vessel 1 is then guided by means of a guide plate 19 and a guide rib 20 to be positioned automatically at a predetermined position in the shield body 2. When a motor is driven to close a shield cover 3, pushing force of the shield cover 3 realizes automatic coupling between a piping nozzle 4 and a nozzle seat 5 and between a cable terminal 6 and a terminal receiver 7. Piping in the vessel 1 is coupled through the piping nozzle 4, the nozzle receiver 5, a shield nozzle 8, a quick coupler 9, and a flexible hose 10 with outside. Electric wiring is connected through the cable terminal 6, the terminal receiver 7, and an electric cable 11 with the outside. When the vessel 1 is collected, the shield cover 3 is opened and the piping and wiring are disconnected and then the vessel 1 is lifted.
