Abstract:
To provide a shield machine and a method for calibrating measured values in the shield machine, which can precisely specify at least the density of soil removed in the shield machine, and can suppress excessive uptake of excavated soil and subsidence (or depression) of the ground surface caused by this.SOLUTION: The present invention pertains to a shield machine 100 in which a screw conveyor 30 formed by a screw 32 including a rotating shaft 33 and a spiral blade 34 attached around the rotating shaft 33, and a cylinder 31 that rotatably accommodates the screw 32 communicates with a chamber 13 that takes in excavated soil and generates waste soil. An RI density measuring device 40 that measures the density and water content of waste soil using a radioisotope is provided on an outer periphery of the cylinder 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
