Abstract:
To provide a coated arc-welding electrode excellent in both re-arcing performance and insulation property, a production method therefor and a coated arc-welding method.SOLUTION: A coated arc-welding electrode has a core wire and a coating material coating the core wire. The coating material is prepared by adding iron powders having the volume-average particle size of 200 μm or less to a raw material when mixing, and includes metal Fe of 30.0 to 55.0 mass% and CO2 of 3.5 mass% or less. In the coating material, [CaO]/[TiO2] is 0.5 or less when expressing the CaO conversion value of total Ca in the coating material as [CaO] in mass% based on total mass of the coating material and the TiO2 conversion value of total Ti in that material as [TiO2] in mass% based on the above total mass, and the total mass of the material to that of the coated arc-welding electrode is in the range of 36 to 50 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
