Abstract:
To provide a glove box which is made airtight as contaminated substances are handled, and with which it is possible to perform work with good accuracy in an environment which is shielded as radioactive matter is handled.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: a glove box the inside of which is visible and can be reached by a hand via a glove from the outside of an airtight container; a lead shield covering the surrounding of the glove box so as not to allow radiation to permeate to the outside; a manipulator inserted into the inside of the glove box so as to be operable from the outside of the lead shield; and a sample conveyance container removably connected to the underside of the lead shield in order to carry in a sample into the inside of the glove box. The lead shield is provided at the glove position with an openable/closable lead door, with the lead door opened so as to be workable with the glove when a radiation dose inside the glove box is low, with the lead door closed so as to allow work to be performed with the manipulator when a radiation dose inside the glove box is high.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
