To provide a shielding waveguide structure for infrared remote control for removing infrared noise and reliably receiving an infrared signal, and to provide a shielding waveguide unit for the shielding waveguide structure, and electronic apparatus such as a projector employing the shielding waveguide structure.
In the shielding waveguide structure for infrared remote control, a remote control light receiving element 12 is housed in a cabinet 13 forming an exterior case, and on the outer surface of the cabinet 13, a remote control light receiving unit 11 is provided for guiding an infrared signal 31 to the remote control light receiving element 12. In front of the remote control light receiving unit 11, a tubular structure 50 is provided for shielding infiltration of infrared noise 41 from any other part than an incidence opening 51 and for propagating the infrared signal 31, that is made incident from the incidence opening 51, to an emission opening 52. In such a case, the incidence opening 51 is provided at a position away from the remote control light receiving unit 11, and the emission opening 52 is provided toward the remote control light receiving unit 11.
