When a select lever is tilted to an up-position (+) or a down- position (-) in the manual shift mode, a plunger 28a provided on the first solenoid 28 on the up-shift side or a plunger 29a provided on the second solenoid 29 on the down-shift side is protruded if a shift is allowed, and the plungers 28a, 29a of the solenoids 28, 29 are retreated if the shift is prohibited. When the shift is allowed, a click pin 25b fixed to the select lever is coupled with the plungers 28a, 29a, shift permission is sensed by a resistance feeling at this time. When the shift is prohibited, no resistance feeling is felt, and shift inhibition is sensed by the feeling at that time.
