Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure convenience of driving even when switches and sensors for detecting vehicle conditions break down.SOLUTION: A shift-by-wire control device comprises: a first detector for detecting a first vehicle condition caused by action of a driver; a second detector for detecting a second vehicle condition caused by action of the driver; an auto parking control part for executing auto parking control for switching a shift range state into a parking range when detection results of the first and second detectors satisfy respective prescribed conditions, regardless of the shift range state selected by a shift lever; and a failure determination part for determining that the first detector fails, when the first detector does not detect the change of the vehicle condition in spite of occurrence of a change in the first vehicle condition. The auto parking control part does not execute the auto parking control, when the first detector is determined to have broken down (YES at S300).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
