Abstract:

To provide a shift-by-wire system capable of analyzing the cause of abnormality easily.

A motor drive ECU 12 includes: a motor control unit 121 which detects an abnormality when a parking mechanism 51 has not attained a target range within a predetermined period after control of the driving of a motor 13 is started; a data memory unit 123 which stores second analysis information when the motor control unit 121 detects an abnormality; and a check processing unit 122 which compares the state of a changeover mechanism outputted by the motor control unit 121 with the target range, and stores the second analysis information in the data memory unit 123, when the state of the parking mechanism 51 has not attained the target range within a predetermined period after the state of the parking mechanism 51 is outputted and when the motor control unit 121 has not detected an abnormality.
